PRODUCER, CONVERGENCE SHOWCASE

ABOUT CONVERGENCE

Convergence is Fourth Floor's indie games showcase, a live-streamed show broadcast on Twitch, YouTube and partner channels, backed by a Steam event page, co-streaming creators, a weekly newsletter (the Convergence Radar) and hardware partner giveaways.

The July 2026 show featured dozens of games across paid inclusion tiers and curated editorial slots, with creator co-streams and post-show streams extending the broadcast. The next show is in October, and planning starts now.

THE ROLE

You'll be the producer who holds the whole show together: the person publishers, devs, partners and the internal team all route through. You'll sit between our editorial lead and our commercial team, owning delivery from onboarding through to show day.

This is a role for someone who can chase a trailer from a studio in one message, judge whether a 90-second announcement fits a Gold or Diamond tier in the next, and edit a newsletter in between. You'll report to the Creative Director and work daily with editorial, design, social, creator and broadcast

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Publisher and dev management

    • Own the submissions tracker and project workbook, the single source of truth for every game, dev and publisher in the show

    • Run client onboarding: confirm inclusions, gather assets, chase trailers against hard deadlines, and collect Steam sale/discount plans for the event page

    • Advise on tier fit and packaging questions, working with the commercial team on upgrades, extensions and bespoke requests

    • Give included brands the tools to promote their reveal: stock assets, press lines and tease guidance

  • Editorial outreach

    • Proactively reach out to devs and publishers for curated editorial slots, assessing applications and what each game can actually show

    • Feed the run of show alongside the editorial lead, balancing paid and editorial content

  • Press and PR

    • Own press outreach and pre-seeding coverage ahead of the show

    • Maintain the press kit webpage, write and update press releases, and run mailout campaigns through PressEngine

    • Coordinate joint press activity with partner showcases sharing the broadcast window

    Newsletter and website

    • Run the weekly Convergence Radar: commission and edit the freelance writer, add giveaway mechanics, schedule, and coordinate social promotion

    • Keep improving it, the current format came from an audit and rebuild, and we expect the same instinct from you

    • Develop the website to fit in without the mission of supporting indie developers.

    Partnerships and giveaways

    • Manage hardware partner relationships (prize confirmation, entry mechanics, approvals) and run giveaway operations.

    Project management

    • Chair the weekly Convergence progress meeting with a written agenda; keep priorities, blockers and owners visible in Asana

    • Keep the team on track through the final weeks when things get hectic!

    Show day

    • Be on the desk during the broadcast: client comms on schedule changes, key giveaway operations, clipping support and whatever the live show throws up

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Games industry experience in editorial, PR, production or publishing.  You know how showcases, embargoes, trailers and Steam events work

  • Strong writing and editing; you can turn a draft into something publishable and a press release into something journalists open

  • Proven editorial or producer instincts: trackers that people actually use, deadlines that hold, and calm escalation when they don't

  • Confident with publishers and devs of all sizes

  • Comfortable making judgement calls with incomplete information and knowing when to flag upwards

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with Asana, Google Workspace, Substack and press distribution tools

  • Existing relationships with indie devs, publishers or games press

  • Experience with Steam featuring, event pages and wishlisting mechanics

  • Experience managing freelancers

DETAILS

  • Fixed-term contract for 12 months, covering the next 2-3 shows

  • Start as soon as possible

  • TSend a CV and a short note on a showcase, event or editorial product you've run to jobs@fourthfloorcreative.co
