Overview
A four week long community event that showcases Apex Legends to new, current and lapsed players, where the winning team gets £50k!
The Challenge
Create an authentic, UK based, competition celebrating the Apex community whilst bringing in new players as a way to ‘relaunch’ Apex Legends in the UK.
Our Approach
Appeal to core and new audiences by partnering FPS creators with core Apex players who act as their mentor in a series of live streams before the Grand Final. Supplement this activity with TikToks and audience giveaways to ensure the community stays engaged.
We partnered with creators who live-streamed over the course of four weeks, preparing for the grand final, whilst releasing a number of VODs documenting their journeys.
Our full in-house production team Explosive Alan created the brand, all the video assets, and executed the live finale from the Play Apex official Twitch channel.
We also utilised our gifting capabilities to design, create, and deliver two hundred Apex themed items to audiences to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
RESULTS
400 pieces of content across a four week event culminating in a live final that reached 45,000 peak viewers. VODs have hit a massive 37M views across paid and organic - with the 77 pieces of organic content showing just how important strategic creator choice is to a campaign.
