Overview

A four week long community event that showcases Apex Legends to new, current and lapsed players, where the winning team gets £50k!

The Challenge

Create an authentic, UK based, competition celebrating the Apex community whilst bringing in new players as a way to ‘relaunch’ Apex Legends in the UK.

Our Approach

Appeal to core and new audiences by partnering FPS creators with core Apex players who act as their mentor in a series of live streams before the Grand Final. Supplement this activity with TikToks and audience giveaways to ensure the community stays engaged.

  • We partnered with creators who live-streamed over the course of four weeks, preparing for the grand final, whilst releasing a number of VODs documenting their journeys.

  • Our full in-house production team Explosive Alan created the brand, all the video assets, and executed the live finale from the Play Apex official Twitch channel.

  • We also utilised our gifting capabilities to design, create, and deliver two hundred Apex themed items to audiences to ensure ongoing engagement and support.


RESULTS

400 pieces of content across a four week event culminating in a live final that reached 45,000 peak viewers. VODs have hit a massive 37M views across paid and organic - with the 77 pieces of organic content showing just how important strategic creator choice is to a campaign.
