Here at Fourth Floor we’ve put together a glossary of frequently used terms to help you navigate and understand any documentation in the Influencer Marketing space.
Common Terminology
Engagements
Total number of interactions with a piece of content, including likes, comments, shares, and reactions.
Engagement Rate
The percentage of people who engaged with a piece of content compared to the total number of people who saw it.
Impressions
The number of times a piece of content has been shown to users.
Likes
The total number of user actions that indicate appreciation or endorsement of a piece of content. Includes Upvotes, Hearts, Diggs and other terms as well as likes, depending on the platform.
Peak/Max Concurrent Viewers
The highest number of simultaneous viewers watching a livestream at any point.
Reach
The total number of unique accounts that have seen a profile or piece of content within a specified period.
Shares
The total number of times content has been shared.
Subscriptions
A list of users that subscribe to a broadcaster.
Unique Viewers
The number of unique people who viewed a piece of content over a specific time period.
YouTube
Dislikes
The total number of user actions that indicate a user's disagreement or displeasure with a piece of content.
Twitch
Average concurrents
The average number of simultaneous viewers watching a livestream, calculated across its duration.
Chatters
The Twitch accounts that are connected to a channel's chat room.
VOD
Video On Demand - an archive of content previously streamed live on Twitch.
TikTok
Average Watch Time
The total amount of time a video was played divided by the number of views.
Total Watch Time
The total number of minutes that users watched videos for a specific channel, content owner, video, or playlist.
Tweets
Twitter's name for a post on the platform.
Retweets
A way for users to share and interact with other users Tweets.
Upvotes
A way for users to endorse or agree with a post on Reddit.
Downvotes
A way for users to express their disagreement or dissatisfaction with a post on Reddit.
Upvote Rate
The percentage of upvotes compared to the total number of comments on a post.
Engaged
The number of users who engaged with a piece of content.
Organic Reach
The number of people who saw any unpaid content from a Facebook page or about the page in their News Feed or during visits to the page.
Paid Reach
The number of people who saw a sponsored story or ad about a Facebook page.
Reactions
The total number of reactions to a Facebook post.
